Piano & Ukulele Lessons in Oskaloosa, Iowa

Hello! My name is Cammela Sword, but I often go by Cam or Cami. I grew up in Ottumwa, Iowa, in a household rich with music, which has always played a vital role in my life.

From 2022 to 2025, I taught beginner and intermediate piano lessons at Muse Music Store until its closing. Here I fell in love with the joy of sharing music with others. I began taking piano lessons at just five years old, and after more than 20 years of playing, the piano remains my greatest passion.

Alongside piano, I’ve been teaching ukulele since 2023. My lessons focus on helping beginners build a strong foundation and develop the skills you need to start playing confidently!

In early 2025, I co-founded Stringed Theory in Oskaloosa, Iowa, to continue offering piano and ukulele lessons and to expand into piano servicing and repair after earning my certification as a Piano Technician from the Piano Technician Academy.

In addition to music, I enjoy painting, playing video games, reading, and going to local shows and performances. I am particularly inspired by classical composers such as Claude Debussy, Erik Satie, and Franz Liszt, as I thrive on the challenge their works present.
