Hey, I’m Brittany, a professional instructor specializing in vocal performance and guitar. I have been honing my craft since 2003 and believe the most rewarding part of music is that the learning never truly stops. I aim to guide my students as they explore new techniques, innovations, and diverse musical genres.

My guitar instruction covers a wide range of styles, including blues rock, classic rock, metal, fingerstyle acoustic, folk, R&B, and classical guitar. For voice, I teach modern pop, R&B, hard rock (including vocal fry), folk, and opera, with a specialization in powerful modern pop and rock vocal techniques.

I bring extensive professional experience to my lessons. My music has been featured on media outlets like Iowa Public Radio and Laser 103.3. Since 2006, I have fronted multiple bands, sat in as a guitarist, and contributed songs to commercials and indie films. I currently lead worship at College Avenue Friends and perform original music and covers under the name "Brittany Sword" at various venues across the Midwest.
